LAMR principal Dr Mike Olsen is one of the most experienced field botanists in private industry in Queensland.
Mike uses his Queensland-wide experience to deliver training courses that provide a deep insight into landscape interpretation, ecological functioning and plant identification across the State.
These courses are unique as they emphasize the development of field skills within the local landscape responding to the specific skill set required by field ecologists working within the Region.
Three modules are available
- Vegetation Mapping (incorporating CORVEG plot establishment)
- Landscape Assessment ( incorporating PMAV)
- Australia’s Major Plant Families
Springbrook, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast (South East Queensland Bioregion); Stanthorpe (New England Tablelands Bioregion) Townsville and Cairns (Wet Tropics Bioregion).
Other locations by arrangement.
Standard training courses require 2 days/module if taken individually.
